About the event: As project managers we’re taught how to deliver according to scope, time and budget all wrapped up in a bow of quality. What could go wrong? The reality is that a lot can go wrong and often does. The scale of modern projects is becoming larger and more complex – far too complex for one person to know it all and manage it all. We often find ourselves facing trade-offs on scope or time or budget or quality or in some instances on them all. In his ground breaking 2008 book The Speed of Trust Stephen M. R. Covey lays out the argument that in order to achieve a quality deliverable within time, scope and budget the essential ingredient is trust. But how do we harness the depth of trust required in a project team to achieve what might appear to be an impossible task?

In this interactive session, Cillín Hearns will explore what it takes to build a high-performing team; a team that trusts one another and will go the extra mile to achieve even seemingly impossible milestones.

About the Presenter: Cillín Hearns

Cillín is an Irishman loving his life in New Zealand. He is the author of two books on leadership; First, Lead Yourself and the newly published Now, Lead Others. As the director of Results Coaching, Cillín is passionate about the personal and professional development of his clients and he achieves this through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and presentations.

Cillín has been fortunate to have had a diverse career which afforded him the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life and across many industries including the fitness industry, the government sector, the industrial sector, IT consulting, and Banking. He has several years direct experience working as an IT consultant and has led up to 12 teams of over 140 consultants so everything Cillín does has a strong practical element to making it work.
