Event description
Join songwriter/comedian Eli Pasic as he presents his one-man musical comedy, The Exorcist: An Operetta! A tongue-in-cheek variation of the 1970s horror classic, Eli Pasic will render the tale by way of narration, dialogue, and song! Don't miss a tuneful jaunt through this dazzling portal to hell! You'll be possessed with laughter from start to finish!
Eli studied piano and composition at Berklee College of Music and was mentored by Broadway orchestrator Larry Blank (The Producers, The Drowsy Chaperone). “Imagine if famed operettists Gilbert and Sullivan wrote ‘The Exorcist’…it would be filled with romance, charming rhymes, peppy melodies, and devilishly funny jokes. Thankfully Eli Pasic has done just that and created the best operetta no one asked for.”
—Robyn Grant-Moran, Intermission Magazine
“His lyrics are clever and sometimes surprising, and yes, they incorporate all the profanity and bodily fluids of the original, set to the rousing choruses full of party guests and servants that are the hallmarks of the musical form. It’s a delightfully strange mashup…and entirely enjoyable, a…smooth operetta.”
