Event description

Presented by VCA Design & Production

VCA Design & Production extends a warm invitation to The EYE, our End of Year Exhibition for 2025. This is an evening whereby we throw open the doors to our studios, we celebrate the work of our graduating students in their capstone subjects and we showcase the extraordinary talent within the broader cohort. Each of our programs and courses are represented, with exhibitions derived from design, construction, technical production and management projects across live performance, screen and graphic design mediums. Come and engage with the next generation of creative professionals as they present their work and observe another bold year of dedication, experimentation and artistic growth in our inspiring, collaborative environment.

Exhibit

The EYE is held in the Elisabeth Murdoch Building, please enter via the stairs or ramp on St Kilda Road.
Join us from 6PM for a drink on arrival. You can enter, leave or return to the exhibit at any time between 6PM and 9PM.

Creative Credits

All works presented are by graduating students from the Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design, Performance Design), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) and Master of Design and Production.

Content Warnings
Exhibition content is drawn from the dramatic texts and topics presented to students throughout the year, and as such, some material may be challenging to viewers. Common performance subjects include mortality, inequity, fragile mental health, environmental crises and existential distress. Students may have addressed political and social matters in their design projects, and so whilst we have curated this material sensitively, please exercise self-care when interacting with their designs and productions.

PARKING

The City of Melbourne has recently changed the parking restrictions around the Southbank Campus. Parking control hours are now expanded to 7am–10pm, seven days per week, and are capped at three hours. A $2-per-hour fee after 7pm is also now in place. There is no change to the $4-per-hour peak rate between 7am–7pm. Parking inspectors are regularly in the area fining drivers who overstay their meter, so we encourage everyone to be aware and avoid an expensive fine. More information.

ACCESSIBILITY

All venues at the Southbank campus are wheelchair accessible. To read more about access services available at our venues, please visit:  https://finearts-music.unimelb.edu.au/access-our-events.

  • Please stay home if you feel unwell, even with mild symptoms. Face masks are welcome in all settings for community and personal safety.

  • Admission to any of our concerts and events is strictly at the discretion of Front of House. We have zero tolerance for any disrespectful behaviour.
