‘Bizarre Ride’ 30th Anniversary Tour
Featuring Imani, Fatlip & Slimkid3
Watch one of the greatest hip hop groups reunite with The Far Side (Formally of The Pharcyde).
The Far Side, which is made of Imani, Fatlip & Slimkid3 formerly of the Pharcyde, is an alternative hip hop group that was formed in South Central Los Angeles in 1989.
The Pharcyde consisted of Emandu Wilcox aka Imani, Traveant Hardson known as Slimkid3, Romye Robinson aka Bootie Brown and Derrick Stewart known as Fatlip. Under the moniker The Pharcyde, they released their debut hit album in 1992 called Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde, which hit gold status and was No. 75 of Billboard's Top 200, and the hit single "Passin' Me By" hit No. 1 on the US rap charts.
They released their sophomore album, Labcabincalifornia, three years later to even greater success topping the charts at No. 37 with their biggest hit "Drop" topping dance,R&B and Rap charts. The group slowly dispersed throughout the years to go their own ways with solo careers before three out of the four group members came back together in 2020 with a rebranded name now called The Far Side and embarked on a reunion tour that would start in 2022 to commemorate the 30th anniversary edition of their debut album. They would come out with a remastered limited-edition album with special guests Inspectah Deck from the Wu-Tang Clan amongst others.
