Cultivation of your Bones
During this 4 week series we meet once a week to practice and cultivate our Bones together. You’ll receive a recorded, shorter practice to play with in between the classes and also a Taoist bone meditation, so that after this journey you’re standing deeply rooted in your bones.
We’ll be connected through a Signal group for questions and sharing over the month.
This is for women and femmes who love moving their bodies and souls; or who desire to be initiated more deeply into the pleasure and intelligence inherent in your physicality; which is so deeply connected into your soul and psyche. It is for women in the menopausal context and it’s also open to younger women who struggle with bone density or who feel drawn to this offering.
Bones are at the core of our physicality, they are alive, have a certain elasticity to them; they have blood vessels running through them, they continually renew themselves.
How do we best care for them, to keep them strong and healthy, to keep the hydration through their collagen structure up? How do we nourish the blood factory deep in the marrow of the bones working at its best?
My approach is inspired by the Taoist tradition. In this tradition the bones are very highly revered and cared for as the structure of our bodies and as they produce the blood which is kind of the basis of our vitality.
The kidneys rule the bones and the storing of the Jing, the essence of life force in our body.
The Bones are seen as the underlying most fundamental and enduring part of the body.
They like impact, pounding in the right way and jumping.
They are a medium for the Qi, lifeforce to flow through and for transmitting energy frequencies through them and into the meridian system/the body.
You'll be learning a taoist practice called Bone Breath:
By directing Qi to the bones, bone breathing is believed to strengthen the skeletal system, to enhance energy flow, and promote overall vitality.
This practice is also associated with calming the mind, reducing stress, and cultivating a state of deep muscular relaxation, all of which the kidneys and the adrenals love.
Taoist masters have used bone breathing to access higher states of consciousness and to realize their full potential... oh oh here we go!
The bones are seen as a place where a trace of the soul remains after death, connecting the physical and spiritual realms.
This bone cultivation is woven into a deeply feminine practice that nourishes, hydrates and strengthens your body and soul. I’m calling it the SheSessions
The SheSessions at its core is a way to keep meeting yourself, meeting what is here right now, supporting the unraveling of the hidden parts in order to deepen into presence, awaken sensuality and aliveness.
During the month you receive:
4 x LIVE 2hrs sessions on ZOOM; Tuesdays 5.30-7.30pm AEDT + the recordings for your personal use. During these session, I share a little info, we practice and meditate and there is space to connect with the group through inquiry into topics of the psychosomatic meaning of bone, into the creative aliveness inherent in bone and whatever arises in you through accessing your bones.
