Come join us for the screening of activist group Rising Tide's new film, The First Wave, including a panel with the team afterwards!
Based in Newcastle, Rising Tide are on a mission to bring the Newcastle Coal Port - one of the largest in the world - to an end. Despite being a relatively new movement, the team at Rising Tide have made an incredible impact in climate activism and continue to do so across the nation.
Their new film, The First Wave, showcases their blockade in 2023 shutting down the port for almost 3 days straight. Featuring a Q&A session afterwards with the team who've brought this film to us, this is a fantastic insight into large scale environmentalism and what we can do to facilitate a greener future. ⛵️🌊🪸
