    Event description

Are you interested in making a difference in children's lives? The FLIP Museum is looking for innovators, builders, youth representatives, DEI advocates to shape the development of children museum's mobile exhibits!

The FLIP Museum's vision is for the greater Portland metro area to have strong communities where all children are inspired to explore, trust their abilities and realize their potentials. Our mission is to build multicultural children's museums that bring children and families together to learn and connect with one another through play.

The FLIP Museum's programs/services include our mobile exhibit initiative, designed to bring the experience of children’s  museum learning directly to the community. Recognizing the evolving needs of today's caregivers and the importance of accessibility, our mobile exhibits pop up where children are. This method ensures that every child, irrespective of their location or background has the opportunity to engage, explore, and learn. We currently offer an interactive play food cart exhibit and a hand-built train set exhibit representing Portland's locomotive heritage. With the help of this community advisory committee, we will continue to build exciting mobile exhibits for the Greater Portland Metropolitan Area and will continue to do so even after we establish permanent museum spaces in Washington and Multnomah Counties.
