The Future of Storytelling
Event description
In collaboration with Torrens University and Creart Digital Media, Migrant Women Professional Network is keen to present our first networking event of the year "The Power of Storytelling".
Imagine being lost in a city without a map – this is how teenagers and young adults have to navigate their mental health challenges in this digital era. For migrant women, this can be even more complex as they grapple with the additional challenges of cultural differences, language barriers, and the pressure to meet familial or societal expectations, often without adequate support systems.
Due to social stigma around mental health, over 70% of teenagers and young adults (15-24 years old) with mental illness seek no treatment from healthcare staff. For migrant women, the stigma is often compounded by cultural taboos, making it harder to access mental health resources or even acknowledge their struggles.
Join a group of wonderful panelists and learn how intentionally crafted storytelling can be powerful, relatable, and inspiring. The future of storytelling is an evolving landscape, with narrative-based story-living games holding so much untapped potential to help migrant women map out their emotional challenges. These tools can provide a culturally sensitive platform to explore their inner worlds, challenge perspectives, and foster personal insights and emotional growth.
If you've never tried AR, VR and AI before, here is your chance to experience the technology hands-on from the team at Creart Digital Media.Â
Keep your eyes peeled for our panelists announcement soon!
This event is designed exclusively for women, providing a safe and empowering space to connect and share experiences.
Please note that the funds collected from this event will all be used for catering purposes.
