The Game of the Scene

This Holiday season, we are taking a break from our core curriculum and offering special one off shorten class series so you can you still get your improv in and end in time to spend time with friends and family.

The Game of the Scene

Game is a high caliber skill for advanced improv players, and a premier focus of improvisers across the globe, from UCB to Second City. Finding the truly funny focus of a scene takes work, and while it may come naturally to some it rarely comes naturally to an entire team. Once you unlock the key tools for discovery and framing the game in scenes, your improv will level up ten fold.

In this 4 week intensive we will focus on:

• Discovery - Finding what is singular and optimally funny in your scenes

• Framing- The language of a team to highlight and focus on one game within a scene

• Heightening & Exploration - Growing the comedy the scene

• Resting - Making space for the scene to grow beyond the laugh, and become even more true to life: Comedy at its purest.
