Important Information:

Where to park: Limited car parking will be available at the Ipswich Turf Club. With recent rain, our on-site parking has been reduced and we encourage you to carpool. Ipswich Turf Club car parking is accessed from Brisbane Rd via Wickham Street. While parking is free over the festival weekend, we kindly ask that you make a Gold Coin donation in support of the Rotary's Flood Appeal. Overflow on street parking is also available on Videroni St, Stafford Rd, Wearne St and Mill St (with pedestrian access to the Main Gate on TL Cooney Ave via Wearne St). All parking is first in best dressed and please take into account the damp ground conditions depending on your vehicle make.
Disrupted train services: Translink has advised that train services along the Ipswich line will not be operating on the weekend of The Gathering - 21 and 22 May. We apologise for any inconvenience.
What to bring: We suggest a hat, sunscreen and water bottle. Water refilling stations will be available. Folding chairs and rugs are welcome. With showers predicted across the weekend we encourage you to bring an umbrella and/or raincoat and to wear gumboots or other appropriate footwear.
Program changes: Due to Covid and its impact on some of our performers and special guests, our program has changed slightly. We are endeavouring to provide substitutes where possible.
Food and Drink: While we have lots of authentic food and beverage on offer, you may bring your own food should you have a specific dietary requirement. With plenty of licensed bars on site, BYO alcohol and eskys are strictly prohibited and we reserve the right to inspect any hampers on arrival.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome to join you, however must be on a lead at all times. If you dog is not very social with other dogs, we ask that they are muzzled as aggressive dogs are not welcome and will be required to leave.
Extended Opening hours on Saturday: While the festival officially finishes at 6.30pm, you are welcome to stay on until 8.30pm in the Forecourt (only) for our twilight Lantern Lighting Ceremony and Ceilidh. The outdoor Ceilidh may be moved indoors subject to weather.
All weather Event: The Gathering will proceed in an adapted format in light rain conditions. If the forecast is for rain please bring suitable shoes or gumboots, a poncho or raincoat or a rain umbrella. Follow The Gathering’s Facebook page for weather updates.

COVID: We will enforce any government directed COVID requirements at the time of our event. Please practice social distancing and observe good hygiene practices. Feel free to wear a face mask if this would make you feel more comfortable.
