The Giants : Conservation film & Talk ; A long overdue biopic of environmentalist Bob Brown

Come to our special screening of the eco-documentary The Giants on the Sunshine Coast, Saturday the 6th of May, 6:30pm at Nambour Majestic Cinema. 
Doors will open at 6:10, A beautiful piece of spoken word and a special music piece created by artists at the Art in Takayna 2022 field trip will be playing to welcome you into the cinema, with the film screening to start at 6:30.

The Giants is a poetic, cinematic portrait of Bob Brown, the Forest, and of our profound connection with trees. From a seedling to forest elder, The Giants  interweaves Bob’s story with the life cycle of the ancient trees he is fighting for.

The hidden life of the forest is brought to life by cameras rigged high in the tree canopy, immersive point cloud animation generated from 3D tree scans, and thought-provoking insights by the likes of David Suzuki and Merlin Sheldrake. Watch the film trailer here

Sinerji founder and designer Louise Visser will host the feature film event, fresh from returning from the 'Art for Takayna' fundraising project in Tasmania.  Protecting the Takayna forest from logging is one of Bob Brown's most important current projects. Louise will share her experiences of what is currently happening in Takayna to open the film. We will discuss what we can do to help protect old growth forest across our beautiful country.
