Local Authority are a Meanjin/Brisbane-based group with a particular affinity towards the dark and lush 80's and 90's alternative music scenes.

Beginning a brief stint as the ambient bedroom recording experiment of Jacque McGill, by 2017 the idea had evolved into a full band with members Erica Sunnex and Lachlan Andrews joining the ranks and soon after, Local Authority was born.

In 2019 the band released their debut album Negative Space on 4000 Records, featuring lauded singles 'No Joy’ and 'Oil Rigs'.

In 2021 Local Authority returned with new member Kailan O’Dell to release the single 'Forever, For Now'  which balanced their claustrophobic coldwave style with delicate dreampop sensibilities.

2022 sees the quartet back in action after a personnel shuffle and new music on the horizon.

DARLING. is the bedroom project of Caitlin Finn (ex-Dorothy and Dog) and Joel Glazebrook (Edith Thomas Furey), combining the bleak atmospherics and shoegaze sensibilities of their previous projects. Incorporating a range of other influences - including post-punk, dreampop and new wave - into an experimental, moody fugue, DARLING. have spent this last plague-year slowly refining their sound, which reflects their own despair and joy.

Chiffon Magnifique is a post-punk/minimal wave project of musician and producer Jed A. Walters, based in Gold Coast, Australia. Walters combines analog synthesisers, drum machines, strangled guitars and a haunting baritone to create a unified sound - owing much to the guitar-based post-punk of the late 1970s and the DIY playfulness of early 1980s minimal wave. Influenced by the likes of Martin Dupont, The Soft Moon, Xeno & Oaklander and Molchat Doma, Chiffon Magnifique is a one-man effort of artistic expression through sound and imagery.

Diaspora The Explorer is a band of diverse origins. Their music is influenced by their unique backgrounds and experiences, growing up in places known for gloomy weather and the challenges of mass immigration.

Their brooding, ethereal melodies explore the darker side of the human experience, tackling themes of cultural displacement, belonging, and adaptation. DTE's music is haunting, transcendent, and characterised by a palpable intensity that connects with audiences deeply emotionally.

Despite the often melancholic themes of their music, Diaspora The Explorer is ultimately a band committed to finding beauty in the darkness. By exploring the most primal and fundamental human emotions, they invite listeners to connect with their innermost feelings and experiences.

Diaspora The Explorer bring an intensity and authenticity to their music that is impossible to ignore.
