Northern Vermont will be in the path of totality − a narrow slice of geography with an optimal view of the moon perfectly in line with the Sun.

This workshop will be held in three parts:

A pre-workshop planning session (via zoom) where we will go over the stages of the eclipse and how to capture them. We will give you some practice exercises to familiarize yourself with this kind of shooting.
The day of the eclipse; we use your new knowledge and go out and shoot all stages of the eclipse. Starting at 2:14 p.m., the moon will begin to appear to move in front of the sun. Totality will be between 3:26 and 3:29. By 4:37 p.m. the moon will have moved past the sun returning the light to normal. The in the field workshop will wrap up shortly after this.
A post-workshop session (via zoom) for you to learn how to make a composite image that captures each stage of the eclipse in one photo!
