Join us at {B}LAB during WA Music Week for an intimate performance by local emerging artist Hazelmead. PLUS a visit from Stormie Mills as we officially launch WAVEFORMS.

Part performance, part interviews, this night is about connecting with artists and how they connect to their own mediums - music and art.

Tickets for this session are limited, so make sure you grab them quickly. Missed out? Join us online for the livestream!

We will now be hosting a small bar, first drink included in your ticket price.

About Hazelmead:

Equal parts hopeless and romantic, Hazelmead emerged from her room with poetry in her mouth and her mother’s guitar singing about the films behind her eyes. Homespun and self-produced, she released her debut single ‘esoteric’ in the aspen-yellow mountains of Utah in 2023, combining fairytale vocals with haunting undertones that have become intrinsic to her music.

The Australian-American has continued to expand her sonic world with her latest nostalgia-tinted debut album, "Somewhere in North America," an immersive project blurring the conceptual and the anecdotal.

About Stormie Mills:

Stormie Mills is best known for his whimsical, thought provoking characters created from a restricted colour palette of black, white, grey, and silver.

As his practice developed, Stormie’s iconic characters found their way into the galleries, streets and homes of collectors around Australia and the world.

His work draws on a deep sense of isolation and yet each character seems to carry a message of hope. These opposing elements in Stormie’s practice imbue his characters with a palpable presence and humanity, capturing the tenderness of the human condition that people connect with. Testament to this is the significant expansion of Stormie’s collector base globally and sell out shows in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.

About WAVEFORMS:

Waveforms is a creative lighting and immersive technology program transforming Bunbury’s CBD, Marlston Hill, and waterfront precincts. Through permanent lighting, projection art, and digital storytelling, the program is turning public spaces into places people want to visit after dark.

Waveforms is funded by the City of Bunbury and delivered by Creative Tech Village.
