The Grotto: Elvin Brandhi & Guests

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

It is with warm hearts that we invite you to our inaugural event as we host Welsh experimental and improvisational artist Elvin Brandhi (Hakuna Kulala, C.A.N.V.A.S.) in the intimate Bluestone Church, Footscray.

Disembodied sounds ruminate throughout the evening with accompanying performances by jd, mararara and Sow Discord.

Elvin Brandhi  //  unyielding bursts of erupting animation, a caustic stream of consciousness cavorts with restless, glitched out heaviness

jd  //  enigmatic, unwavering focus

mararara  //  a tingling sensation; a tear; giggling into oblivion

Sow Discord  //  dizzying dissonance and oppressive atmospheres, an immersive journey through extremities of dark psychedelia, doom, avant hip hop, and noise

With love,

The Grotto

This event takes place on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri and the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. We offer our respect to the Elders of these traditional lands, and through them to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be.
