Nightmare Narratives invites you to an exclusive special screening of The Hang Out at Luna Palace Cinemas, Leederville. Gather the gang, come hang out and prepare for a night of blood, laughter and absolute chaos as our latest feature finally hits the big screen.

About the film

A weekend away in the quiet coastal town of Preston Beach should have been the perfect opportunity for a group of friends to reconnect. Instead, clashing personalities, unchecked egos and one very real killer turn their getaway into a fight for survival.

The Hang Out is a darkly comedic slasher packed with eccentric characters, brutal surprises and a killer known as the Hangman. With everyone too distracted by their own problems to recognise the danger around them, surviving the night might require something none of them has: self-awareness.

Directed and Produced by Ethan Powell, the film was brought to life by a dedicated team of Western Australian filmmakers during an ambitious 12-day shoot in Preston Beach.

Come celebrate the cast, crew and the enormous amount of work that went into making this independent feature. Dress to impress, bring your friends and get ready to hang out with us for one unforgettable night.
