On a quiet Halloween night, several spirits of death convene in a cemetery to debate over the fate of the soul of a recently departed doctor. Is she an angel of mercy, or are there more sinister reasons for her actions when she was alive? Rosśa Crean and Kendra Leonard’s beautiful and evocative unaccompanied opera “The Harbingers” reflects on the concepts of good and evil, and what that means for us in the afterlife.
