Event description

You’re invited to The Hidden - a live music event to raise funds for the creation of ‘Hidden Melody’, a new short film by Haoming Chen.

Join us for a night filled with amazing live performances by Sierra Webb, Brody Thompson and Isabel Yamazaki; telling beautiful stories through the medium of music.

The film follows Mel, who after writing music together with a stranger through a notebook at a public piano, falls in love. With inspiration from “Your Name.”, “Past Lives” and “Begin Again”, ‘Hidden Melody’ is cut out to be a beautiful, heart-stopping film, with a gorgeous original soundtrack composed by pianist Isabel Yamazaki.

Haoming Chen aims to challenge storytelling with visuals, create intimacy through sound, and allow you, the audience, to experience the romance of music.

We would love to show you our film, which proves that music speaks louder than words... will you help us make it?

Isabel Yamazaki, with her extensive musical education and influences from her Japanese heritage, brings a unique blend of classical and contemporary styles. Her music, rich with the humanity of soul and folk, is reminiscent of artists like Adele, Delta Goodrem, and Birdy. Isabel's performances transport listeners to deep places, connecting and uplifting her audience.

Brody Thompson's music delves into themes of loss, regret, and mental health, expressed through powerful pop ballads. Despite discovering his passion for music during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brody has quickly proven his talent for creating and performing captivating songs. His debut single, "Tattered Love," marks the beginning of his promising career.

Together with Sierra Webb, these talented artists will create a night of emotional expression and musical connection. Don't miss this opportunity to support a great cause and experience the hidden depths of music.
