The High Country Hop
Event description
Join us in beautiful Beechworth as we celebrate the Victorian hop harvest at The High Country Hop, Australia's favourite destination beer festival. Over 2 days in central Beechworth's Historic Precinct Reserve, You'll taste the freshest beers of the year, discover local winemakers, distillers and revel in an inspired musical lineup.
The festival centres around the 8 brewers of the Victorian high country, with a spotlight on a series of unique ales made using fresh, locally-sourced hops from the 2021 harvest. They'll be joined by 2 of the countries most exciting new breweries, Range Brewing from Brisbane and Sailor's Grave from East Gippsland, making for a drinks list worthy of a road trip.
What's a great drink without equally great music? A diverse set of artists and selectors - Touching on all manner of global influence from Afrobeat, calypso and NOLA big band through to sun-soaked psych-folk, deep funk and country. It's a wild ride.
A festival food experience should never be grim, so, we've brought in the heavy hitters - Hand-picking enough wholesome eats for all tastes - Thai, Japanese, American BBQ and iconic Melbourne food trucks, Beatbox Kitchen and Taco Truck. You won't go hungry.
Whether you're looking for a weekender, a day trip or a chance to explore your neighbourhood, The High Country Hop will provide you with a journey to remember.
