The High Heaven (two sets) @ Tanswells
Event description
Hailing from Melbourne, The High Heaven draw inspiration from the desert plains and whiskey-soaked saloons of the Old West. Utilising their eclectic alt-country sound, which features driving guitars and hook-laden choruses, the band spin picaresque yarns of lost love and bullet-filled revenge. In late 2020, they released their epic debut Fairytales of the Heartland, channelling everyone from Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt to Tom Petty and Ennio Morricone. Currently working on their second full-length album, the band are pursuing a more country- and folk-leaning tone while still exploring the gunslinger sounds and theatrical inspiration of old novels and films.
