Event description

Join The Hive Collective and Deputy Commissioner Donna Adams as we break the bias this International Women's Day (IWD).

This year’s IWD theme is #BreakTheBias“Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes & discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable & inclusive. A world where difference is valued & celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.”And who better to speak on the topic than our state’s most prominent bias-breaking woman, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Donna Adams!

Donna is the highest ranked woman in Tasmania Police’s history and having spent 34 years in the force, Donna knows a thing or two about breaking the bias in what was traditionally a male-dominated industry.

Get ready to be inspired. And did we mention there will be refreshments? Oh yes there will! Come along. Bring a friend. Enjoy an evening that will have you leave the event wanting more, know what you're worth and be ready to take over the world!

The Hive Collective is a Tasmanian not-for-profit that empowers women through mentorship, networking, and professional development. We are a community-led organisation, run by women for women.
