The Hive Collective: Career Change
Event description
The Great Resignation, The Big Quit, The Radical Reshuffle.
Whichever way you spin it, there’s no denying that a career change is in the tea leaves for many.
Whether a career change is an immediate priority or a distant thought, we’ve got the superstar panel for you!
Amanda Treanor:
As a registered Nurse who was unexpectedly made redundant just six weeks after returning from maternity leave, Amanda seized the opportunity to up-skill, try a new job and eventually return to the aged care sector in a fulfilling new role.
Rebecca Denniss
Having focused her career on tackling big policy issues like climate change, Bec’s never been one to shy away from a challenge—and while she knew that planning to have a baby someday would involve career compromises, she wasn’t quite expecting some of the complexities and conundrums that have emerged.
Deborah Winton
Deborah is an experienced Careers Counsellor, working with senior students at Guilford Young College to map out highly-engaging and rewarding career paths. Currently she runs her own careers coaching business that helps individuals realise their potential and discover fulfilling career paths.
TRIGGER WARNING: At The Hive, we always prioritise creating a safe space for our speakers and attendees. During this panel, we will touch on the topic of pregnancy loss momentarily. You can read our Safe Space Policy here.
Join The Hive Collective and our panelists for all things career change. You can expect an in-depth session on everything you need to know to take the career change leap of faith, including how to know it's the right time, what to consider and how best to prepare.
Whether you are readying yourself for a career change or just curious to learn the steps, this is bound to be a life changing career-changing event.
Get ready to be inspired. And did we mention there will be refreshments? Oh yes there will! Come along and bring a friend!
