THE HONEY SMUGGLERS:

The Honey Smugglers are a Rochester based folk-rock band that play music for, and from, the heart. Their unique blend of thoughtful and catchy songwriting, dazzling instrumentation, and powerful vocals, coupled with the thrill of their live performances, has garnered a dedicated and loving fan base in the Western New York music scene. Since their conception in late 2014, the band has released three full length albums. Although the band plays instruments that are typically linked to the sounds of bluegrass, Frank de Blase of Rochester's City Newspaper says "Don't let the instrumentation make up your mind for you. There are simply too many subgenres to list here. The Honey Smugglers are bottled joy. Crack one open".

FOLKFACES:

Folkfaces is a New York state based roots music quartet. Folkfaces play a mix of original and traditional music. The group takes its influence from weird old american music. An energetic variety show and traveling music review. Exploring a wide range of genres including country blues, traditional jazz, rock and roll, honky tonk, western swing, bluegrass and oldtime, jugband music and more.

The music is driven by songwriter and frontman, Tyler Westcott (Vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Harmonica, Kazoo) who founded the band in 2011. The rest of the band has taken many forms over the years, but the current lineup includes multi-instrumentalist and fiddler Brendan Gosson, upright bass player, Patrick Jackson, and percussionist Dan Schwach on drumkit and washboard. Each of the band’s members come from different musical backgrounds, but find common ground in the rare and captivating sound of Folkfaces.

A GIRL NAMED GENNY:

A Girl Named Genny is based in Rochester, NY. The band incorporates traditional folk instruments to produce a new sound that encompasses several genres and styles. Dynamic instrumentation and upbeat melodies drive this high energy Americana band, however, breaking down sets to create intimate tender moments is always a promise. After extensive tours throughout the midwest and west coast, this year the band looks forward to growing its audiences in new pockets around the country, and right here at home too.
