The HOW, WHAT, and WHY of Authentic Inclusive Classroom Learning - ONLINE WORKSHOP
Event description
Families for Inclusive Education - Online Learning Workshop for Parents
This is an online day-time workshop
CRU, with the support of the QLD Department of Education, presents this workshop for parents and family members of a student with a disability.
Inclusive education is much more than a child with disability being physically present in a mainstream classroom.
Families can feel uncertain about what inclusive education means, namely how it is possible, what authentic inclusive education looks like and why inclusive education is important not just for their child but for all.
This interactive online workshop will explore:
- How students with disability can be authentically included in the same learning as their peers
- What inclusive classroom learning does and doesn’t look like
- Why it is important for children with and without disability to learn alongside each other
The session will involve input on the topic, small group discussion and question time.
