The Imagination Deficit: What can L&D do? [TWO FREE WORKSHOPS]

Event description

How can L&D professionals contribute to bridging the imagination gap?

The 2024 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends report highlighted an emerging imagination deficit. Human capabilities, that 'transcend specific skill sets and functional domains', are key to enable organisations and society to respond to rapidly changing conditions, increased uncertainty and advancing technology. We need to strengthen our ability to imagine different, better futures for all.

L&D professionals in all sectors have an important role to play in cultivating human capabilities in service of imagination and innovation. Three key human capabilities that will be required are curiosity, empathy and connected teaming.

Alkimia Learning is excited to offer two, virtual interactive workshops to explore how the Kaospilot approach to designing and facilitating learning spaces can support learning designers, facilitators and educators in their role as 'imagination builders'.

Each session will feature an expert guest speaker from the Kaospilot Masterclass alumni community. Together with Ramon Marmolejos and Zoe Fitzgerald, Alkimia's co-founders, we will take an experiential approach to practical tools, case studies and tips to enhance L&D professionals' contribution to this important challenge.

Session 1: Growing curiosity & empathy
29th August, 10:30am-12:00pm AEST.

With special guest, Broni Lisle, a world-class improviser, creative and teacher from the Growth Factory.

Session 2: Building connected teaming capability
12th September, 10:30am-12:00pm AEST.
