Description

Two actors. A houseful of characters. One very important handbag.

Jack and Algernon have each invented a way to escape the demands of polite society. Unfortunately, their inventions lead them into proposals, quarrels and a great deal of trouble with Lady Bracknell. And both Gwendolen and Cecily are quite certain about the name of the man they intend to marry.

Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest comes to life in a playful two-actor adaptation full of sharp wit, quick transformations and romantic chaos. Join us outdoors in the courtyard at Fairfield House for a summer evening of comedy.

Fairfield pop up bar will be running, selling cold drinks and ice cream. Please no BYO. You can also pre-order a delicious Afghan meal to make dinner part of the outing. Please purchase a food add-on ticket, separate to your general admission ticket. You have the choice of vegetarian / chicken / gluten free. All meals are $18.00. You can also buy on the day, but pre-ordering makes sure you don't miss out.

Doors open at 5.30pm, with bar and food available

Show starts at 6.30pm
