Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Lishman Library, Thursday, 19 August 2021 6.30pm – 8.00pm | Presented by Mr Griffin Longley
Parents and educators are invited to what promises to be an inspiring and informative evening with the renowned Griffin Longley, CEO of Nature Play WA. Mr Longley will speak passionately about the importance of unstructured outdoor play and why this is an essential ingredient towards ensuring a full and healthy childhood. He will discuss the benefits to health, as well as the cognitive, social and emotional development and the improved resilience and creativity that children will experience through ‘nature play’. Mr Longley will challenge the audience to relook at how they judge risk and encourage us to ‘embrace the world outside our door!’
Mr Longley is a father, an award-winning journalist, columnist for The West Australian and the CEO of Nature Play WA, an independent association established over a decade ago to emphasise the importance of outside play.
