Speaker Bios:
Dr Andrew Jacobs
Dr Andrew Jacobs is an Osteopath & Lending Specialist who works exclusively with allied health practitioners across Australia. Andrew helps practitioners fund equipment, structure business lending, purchase property, and implement SMSF lending strategies to build long term wealth. He combines clinical insight with financial expertise, giving him a deep understanding of the financial journey many allied health business owners face. Andrew is passionate about helping practitioners move beyond simply running a clinic to ultimately owning the assets that support their income and retirement.
Alan Wan
Physiotherapist. Mr Alan Wan is a PhD scholar with the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences who joined the RECOVER team in April 2016 under the supervision of Dr Shaun O’Leary, Professor Michael Sullivan and Professor Michele Sterling. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland and was awarded first class honours. He has since been engaged in the clinical practice of physiotherapy in his private practices in New Farm and Newstead, Brisbane, where he provides physiotherapy services for the management of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain. His PhD thesis aims to develop a greater understanding of the mechanisms driving movement-related pain summation in individuals with neck and low back pain.
Ann-Kathrin Friedrich
Ann-Kathrin began her career in 2019 with the Stuttgart Bundesliga Soccer Club and has since gained extensive experience across elite sport. She holds additional qualifications in chiropractic, lymphatic therapy, kinesio taping and manual therapy, and has worked as a sports physiotherapist with the Olympic Association of Germany. She has supported national basketball, baseball and track cycling teams at European and World Championships, and completed a Master of Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Salzburg. Currently, Ann-Kathrin works at Elvation Medical GmbH in Germany as an ESWT Application Specialist and Product Manager for Ultrasound, focusing on clinician training and education. She remains active in clinical practice and is passionate about sharing evidence-based ESWT knowledge and real-world experience.
Ben Corso
As a Business Consultant at BAC Business Consulting, Ben brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in allied health business ownership, consulting, and strategic planning. He previously grew The Physio Clinic from a single-room practice into a multi-site, multi-disciplinary business, successfully selling it to Australia’s largest integrated allied health group. He then led more than 30 clinics with $40M+ in revenue. Today, Ben helps allied health business owners grow, streamline operations, and prepare for profitable exits, drawing on deep industry and leadership experience.
Ben Lynch
A former podiatrist with a lifelong passion for sport, he was drawn to musculoskeletal health after years spent playing cricket, hockey and golf. Inspired by the clinicians supporting athletes, he built a career helping everyone from elite performers to everyday active patients stay at their best. His experience spans private practice, manual therapy, aged care and leadership within the South Australian Podiatry Association. Over time, his focus shifted from treating feet to supporting the people behind the practice. With a strong passion for business, branding and client experience, he co-created Clinic Mastery to help clinic owners grow through practical, structured coaching.
Elan Silver
Elan Silver is the founder of Silver Podiatry, a clinic focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based foot and lower limb care. With expertise in biomechanics, sports injuries and musculoskeletal podiatry, Elan is passionate about helping patients return to pain-free movement. He also has a strong interest in building modern podiatry practices that combine excellent clinical outcomes with exceptional patient experiences.
Jack O'Brien
Jack O’Brien is the co-founder of Clinic Mastery, a leading business coaching company supporting allied health clinic owners across Australia and internationally. Through coaching, systems, and practical frameworks, Jack helps clinic owners build profitable, sustainable practices without sacrificing patient care or personal well being. Clinic Mastery works with hundreds of clinics, guiding owners to improve performance, grow their teams, and create businesses that are not dependent on them. Lorin Nicholson
Senior Remedial Therapist | Clinical Educator | Founder – Advanced Remedial Therapy. Lorin Nicholson OAM is one of Australia’s most respected deep tissue and remedial therapy practitioners, with 35+ years of experience treating over 40,000 patients. Graduating with High Distinctions in 1990, he built one of Australia’s most successful remedial clinics and earned a reputation among elite athletes as “The Man With The Hands.” Blind from birth, Lorin’s extraordinary tactile acuity underpins his clinical precision. A professional speaker with 4,000+ keynotes delivered globally, he now leads Advanced Remedial Therapy and educates practitioners nationwide through his Masterclass Series, elevating standards across allied health.
Laura Hamilton
Lymphoedema Therapist. I am passionate about raising awareness about lipoedema and supporting others who are on a similar path. Passionate about leadership and culture, Marcio focuses on building high-performing teams and scalable systems that allow allied health businesses to grow while maintaining exceptional patient outcomes.
Semih Taflan
Semih Taflan is a physiotherapist and healthcare innovator who built the most highly rated five-star physiotherapy clinic in the state from the ground up. Starting out treating patients in his garage, he scaled his practice into a fully booked, five-clinician centre in under three years, without spending a dollar on advertising.
