The International Storytellers Film Series presents: Watan (Homeland)
Event description
Join us for the inaugural screening of our "International Storytellers Film Series", a collaborative initiative between The Kiwi Kit Community Trust and QLDC Libraries. Each month, we'll showcase a documentary film that aligns with various international celebration days, bringing global narratives to our local community.
To mark World Refugee Day, we are proud to present the powerful documentary film "Watan." This moving documentary provides an intimate look into the lives of Syrian refugees, highlighting their resilience, struggles, and hopes as they navigate life in exile.
About the Film: "Watan" is a poignant documentary that takes you into the heart of refugee camps in the Middle East, offering a raw and unfiltered perspective on the refugee crisis. Through personal stories and compelling footage, the film sheds light on the human spirit's strength and the universal quest for safety and a better future.
This is a FREE event open to everyone! Bring your friends and family to experience an evening of powerful storytelling and meaningful conversation.
