The Joy of Many Colours - Katherine Multicultural Festival 2024, presenting Organised by the Connected Women group of the Australian Red Cross and our dynamic Katherine community, this event promises a vibrant celebration of diversity.
Mark your calendar for the highlight of the festival, The Joy of Many Colours Fashion Show, scheduled for Sunday, May 26th, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the YMCA Katherine. Over 70 talented women from migrant and indigenous backgrounds will grace the runway, showcasing their resilience and creativity. Divided into four captivating segments, the Fashion Show features pieces crafted, upcycled, and repurposed by Katherine's own community members, including our esteemed First Nation people.
Adding to the cultural tapestry, enjoy captivating cadence performances and soulful singing, further emphasizing the celebration of unity in diversity.
Extend your culinary journey at the Cultural Food Expo, also hosted at the same location, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A collaboration between the Connected Women group and the Katherine Town Council, this expo offers a delectable array of over 25 cultural dishes, accompanied by live music, a photo wall, and much more.
