The Junto Dinner Club - Sustainable Development Goals
Event description
With a “think global, act local” philosophy, the Junto Dinner Club provides a two-course meal with a cash bar, and a guest speaker with topics following the United Nations Calendar. A bit of what is happening in the world, and here. It is for people who live, work or volunteer within the Shire of Denmark (and friends) so that we can share a nice meal together, catch up with each other, and learn a bit more about our world.
Our November function celebrates World Philosophy Day.
Our Guest speaker is Kylie Hansen, Founder and Director of Impact Seed – Western Australia’s peak impact investment, impact measurement and social enterprise market builder. Kylie has led some of WA’s key impact management and outcomes planning projects, including the whole-of-sector outcomes measurement framework with the WA Government in partnership with WACOSS aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals.
What better way to celebrate World Philosophy Day than considering how we as community can think about progress in a context of what we know are limited global resources?
Within the ticket categories is an option to purchase a ticket to donate to enable one of our high school student leaders to come along – we have made 8 tickets available under this option in the hope that we can invite 4 student leaders from both of our high schools.
Join us to celebrate our local produce and World Philosophy Day.
