The Last Daughter - Film Screening

Please join us at the Effective Living Centre during our week of Yes to the Voice events, for a special screening of The Last Daughter - the story of proud Wiradjuri woman Brenda Matthews.  Brenda grew up in a loving white foster family, but was suddenly taken away and returned to her Aboriginal family. Years later, her past causes her to feel disconnected from both halves of her life and she goes in search of the foster family with whom she had lost contact. Along the way she uncovers government secrets, lies, and the chance for deeper connections to family and culture.

The Last Daughter is a documentary about Brenda’s mission to unearth the truth about her past, and to reconcile the two sides of her family. Check out a trailer of the film below:
