Beloved Swedish TV personality Filip Hammar sets out to rekindle his father’s spark for life when Lars retires After 40 years as a French teacher in Koping, Sweden. Accompanied by his best friend and co-host Fredrik Wikingsson, the trio embark on a journey to Lars' cherished France to revisit cherished childhood trips and recreate fond memories. Along the way, old connections are revisited, and new adventures unfold.

The Last Journey is a heartwarming and hilarious exploration of family, memory, and the enduring power of love and laughter to bring joy back into life’s later chapters. The film has gone on to become the most successful Swedish documentary in history, and was submitted by the country in the Best International Film category at this year’s Oscars.
