Event description

The Last Violin- film screening and performance.

A special intimate film-screening of The Last Violin by local film-maker Carla Thackrah, and professional violinist and composer Romano Crivici.
A special opportunity for a Q & A with the film-makers, and hear a live performance on the violin itself.

The Last Violin allows us into the workshop of retired luthier Harry Vatiliotis', as he hand-makes his 800th and last violin for his life-long friend Romano.

‘This enchanting film... it's a love story. It's a love story about music, a love story about the violin, it's a love story about you and this extraordinary instrument maker. But it's also a love story about Harry and Maria..."Philip Adams, ABC Radio National - Late Night Live 28/11/22

Fresh from winning Best Documentary at both the Cyprus International Film Festival and the Bridges International Film Festival in Greece, we are honoured to show this film at The Citadel.
