The Living Library - Freedom Garvey & Peter Lewis @ The Busselton Library
Event description
📖 Living Library: Stories of Adventure & Connection
🗓 Thursday 20 November | ⏰ 6:00–7:30pm
📍 Busselton Library | Wine and nibbles provided
Join us for another inspiring Living Library evening as we hear from two remarkable local storytellers who see the world through very different, but equally powerful lenses.
📸 Freedom Garvey – Photographer
Raised amid the red dirt and desert skies of northwest WA, Freedom now calls Yallingup home, drawing inspiration from its wild contrasts of bush and ocean. Her photography is soulful, honest, and deeply connected to community. Freedom’s work with Aboriginal women in remote regions, through projects like the Kalumburu Photography Collective and The Dillybag Collective—celebrates storytelling, empowerment, and cultural strength.
⛵ Peter Lewis – Solo Sailor
Busselton-born adventurer Peter Lewis once set off from Australia with the bold idea of sailing solo to the Cocos Keeling Islands—and perhaps even around the world. Despite never having sailed out of sight of land before, he did just that! Join us to hear Peter’s remarkable tale of courage, discovery, and life at sea.
