Liz Player returns to Church Street Studios with her quartet featuring legendary NZ pianist Charmaine Ford!

Described as “a new star in the making” by The Australian reviewer Eric Myers, Liz has been mentored by Jazz greats such as Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt and Craig Scott. She has showcased her craft across multiple sell-out headline shows and on some of the largest stages in Australia, including Qudos Bank Arena and the ICC. With a 2023 live album under her belt, in 2025, Liz became the 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Jazz Artist In Residence and released her debut studio EP, “Crystalline” whilst featuring at major festivals including Manly Jazz Festival.

In this rare collaboration with NZ pianist and composer Charmaine Ford, Liz will debut never-heard-before originals composed by the duo alongside evocative arrangements and her signature deep sense of storytelling. Rounding out the quartet are some of Sydney's finest young talents: Sabine Tapia (bass) and Matt Simmonds (drums), fixtures of the Jazz scene with prolific performing histories of their own.
