The Long Hop: Let’s Keep the Conversation Going

The Long Hop didn’t end when we flew home

Across 16 workshops in eight locations, up to 500 people came together to connect, laugh, learn, share wisdom ask big questions and imagine what might be possible.

Across England, Wales and Scotland, we gathered in village halls, theatres, church halls, universities, council rooms, ancient buildings, and old warehouses. In each place, people swapped stories, explored different ways of working and thought together about what community-led change might look like in practice.

Now we would love to bring everyone back together. This private two-hour online gathering is for anyone who joined us at one of the Long Hop workshops. It is a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people from other stops along the journey, forge new relationships, and hear what has been bubbling away since we were together in the UK.

We would love to hear what you have tried, what has surprised you, what conversations you are having and what has taken root, got stuck, changed direction or opened up something unexpected. We will create a warm and participatory space to swap stories, share learning, connect across places and practices, and forge new relationships.

This will not be two hours of us talking at you. We will lightly host the space, but what happens will be shaped by the people who join us. Bring a cuppa, your curiosity and whatever has been stirring since The Long Hop passed through your part of the world.
