The Long Lunch
Description
Communities are built through relationships, shared experiences and the simple
act of coming together around a table.
10 am - watch our pasta making
11am - Speeches and hear from the community
12pm - Seat, eat and enjoy!

This October, during Mental Health Month, the Foundation for Social Health and
Villaggio Sant' Antonio warmly invite you to our Long Lunch for Connection,
Community and belonging, held in Villaggio’s beautiful grounds in Page.
The day marks the launch of Canberra’s Third Spaces Network: a growing
movement of welcoming places where people can gather, connect and belong. As
loneliness and isolation rise, these everyday spaces are becoming some of the
most important infrastructure a community can have.
For many years, Villaggio has been keeping older Canberrans connected to the
people, places and activities that give life meaning. Together we are
imagining places like Villaggio as true community hubs, where generations meet
and friendships form. It is a glimpse of what aged care can become: a place of
participation, contribution and belonging for all of us.
Come for the festival from 10am and stay for a long lunch of handmade pasta from
12.30pm. We'll hear from The Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP and a panel of local
leaders, and you'll have your say too.
Come on your own, bring the kids, or gather a whole table of friends. Your name
card will be waiting for you.
We would be honoured to have you with us.
