THE LONGEST NIGHT: Join us in the lead up to winter solstice, for the “The Shortest Night", a queer reading event in Abstract Thoughts Gallery next to Café Freda's in Taylor Square, on Sunday 13 June, 5-7pm.
Sydney’s best writers and comedians – simply some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet – will take to the stage to regale you with stories of their iciest queer passions. Think Elsa from Frozen getting down with the White Witch from Narnia, and you’re halfway there. The Iceman Cometh!
Featuring a diverse range of LGBTIQA+ voices, who can be read in the likes of Junkee, The Guardian, The Monthly, and seen on stages across the country and around the world, this is the perfect event for celebrating your inner winter freak.
The event will be complimented with a display of visual art from some of Sydney’s leading queer artists, and a chill-wave DJ set to help you get in the mood.
