What to Expect on the Day

We’ve designed this workshop around one of the most vital aspects of education: relationships. Throughout the day, we’ll guide you through a series of engaging activities, insightful discussions, and practical tools that will focus on:

• Gaining a clearer understanding of what’s happening for adolescent boys today, and the key factors shaping their behaviour and wellbeing.
• Recognising the importance of strong relationships as a preventative and protective factor in supporting boys’ wellbeing and development.
• Learning practical strategies to build stronger relationships with the boys you work with.
• Creating a realistic plan for next steps to apply in your school context.

You’ll work alongside educators from other schools and some of The Man Cave’s team. Together, we’ll share knowledge, stories, and experiences in what promises to be a fabulous experience.  

Please note, to gain optimal outcomes for you and your school, we ask that at least 2 educators from your school attend.

Parking/Transport

The workshop will take place at Arthur Phillip High School, 102-116 Macquarie St, Parramatta NSW 2150.

Parramatta is serviced well by public transport, with trains, buses and light rail options all available and within a short walk to the school.  Parking is available at several parking stations throughout Parramatta which is also within easy walking distance to the school.

Please head to the Administration Building at Arthur Phillip High School (entry near corner of Charles and Macquarie Streets) and sign in as a visitor of Damien Martin.  

Dress Code

This is a professional development day, but we want you to feel comfortable—think weekend clothes. You’ll be among like-minded colleagues in a relaxed, collaborative setting.

What to Bring

• A journal or notebook for reflection and note-taking.
• A water bottle.
  

Lunch options

There are several food options close by to the school and you will be given ample time at lunch to be able to get fresh air and refuel.
