The Man From Delmonete
Formed in Manchester in the late 1980s, The Man From Delmonte became one of the most distinctive bands to emerge from the city’s independent music scene. Blending jangling guitars, sharp melodies and bittersweet wit, the band earned a devoted following through acclaimed releases including “Water in My Eyes” and “My Love Is Like A Gift”. Although their original run was brief, their reputation only grew over the years, with a new generation discovering their uniquely melodic sound. Since reforming, the band have returned to packed venues and enthusiastic audiences, their live shows capturing the warmth, humour and timeless songwriting that made them such cult favourites in the first place.
