The Meanies head to Frankston for the first time in fark nose how many years with a show at Young St Tavern on Cup Eve, Monday 3rd November, launching their new 7” single ’Shutdown’ which comes out October 9. Recorded 25 years ago by Shane O’Mara at his studio Yikesville, ’Shutdown' is seeing the light of day for the very first time. It’s not your average bear as far as The Meanies usual sound but hey, a change is as good as a holiday and they can’t afford one of those. On the b-side of the 7” you’ll find some top Aussies doing a couple of Meanies tracks, with Frenzal Rhomb and Leeches! doing their renditions of a cuppla Meanie classics. Special guests on the night are peninsula darlings Public House and Benny J & the Psych Ward. See y’all on Cup Eve!
