Secrets from the Honey Tree

1/101 Memorial Drive, Eumundi.

Cacao is a gentle plant medicine of the heart. Cacao gives us an opportunity to connect with our Heart, to allow us to let go and surrender to the moment, to create space and allow expansion of our inner world through the release of emotional blockages that may be held in our body, mind, heart and spirit. It was used by the Mayan, Aztec and Olmec cultures for various spiritual and medicinal rituals and ceremony. Today, due to its accessibility and gentle and joyful nature, cacao is a popular choice as a spiritual and creative partner whether the pursuit be meditation, yoga, healing, art, writing, sound, and so much more.

ABOUT THE CEREMONIAL CACAO

As with all medicines, everyone responds differently at any given time. There are many reported health benefits of cacao, which can be found easily through a browse on the web. Here are some general guidelines on consuming ceremonial cacao. Please use your own discretion as to whether it is suitable for you.

- Cacao contains theobromine (250mg per 50g), a milder, less intense but longer lasting stimulant than caffeine. There is also a small percentage of caffeine (19mg per 50g). Theobromine can increase heart rate in some.

- Some will sleep deeply in the night, others less so. Each journey with cacao will be different.

- Please make sure you are well hydrated on the day prior to our workshop, on the day and the day after having cacao.

- Avoiding caffeine, alcohol and other stimulants on the day (and even the evening prior) will allow the effects of this gentle medicine to be felt more fully.

- It would be ideal to eat only lightly 2-3 hours before the cacao ceremony.

- We will be serving a full ceremonial dose of cacao (45g).

* What is Co-regulation?

Co-regulation in adult relationships is defined by reciprocity between partners, where the responsibility to emotionally regulate each other is equally shared. It is shown to activate oxytocin and relax the vagus nerve, leading to stress reduction, healing and improved connection within relationships and ourselves.

This practice is a snapshot of an Attunement Therapeutic session between a client and the practitioner that lasts between 3 to 4 hours. See wyrdandweft.com.au or the Wyrd & Weft Facebook page for more details.

This is a COVID safe event. We will ask you to sign in and hand sanitisers will be available. As this event includes physical touch, we ask that this is done with your partner, who you travelled with or a person from your household only. Bothe facilitators have completed the COVID compliance course.

*All tickets are to be purchased online ONLY - please show your ticket at the door. No refunds are offered*
