The Melancholics Return to the Cave Inn with Sabrina Lawrie (solo) and Black Dog Cat Band
Event description
The Melancholics are very excited to return to the Cave Inn on Saturday 26 October for a triple header gig with friends Sabrina Lawrie (solo) and Black Dog Cat Band.
The Melancholics are part quirky indie pop, part Americana but have been told they are really quite Brisbane. They have recently had some chart success on 4ZZZ with their first two singles and continue work on recording their debut album with Jeff Lovejoy and playing well received live shows around Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.
Sabrina Lawrie is a renowned singer/songwriter and producer.  She plays 'Spirit Rock' but not limited by any one genre, weaving guitairs and organic instruments alongside electronic sounds and world music inspiration and just generally shreds with her two bands The Cosmic Shore and Lapis. Â
Black Dog Cat Band melds elements of the blues, country, folk, indie, garage and rock’n’roll with an unmistakable Australian edge, delivering catchy tunes formed around open chord progressions. They combine acoustic instruments and ethereal soundscapes with effects-driven licks, boppy bass lines and melodic hooks.
This will be a great night of music and we hope you can join us for this very special gig as we head into spooky season.
