Event description

This series of customised workshops have been designed specifically with the mental wellbeing needs of international students in mind. These workshops aim to cover topics relevant to the wellbeing of our international students and the various support mechanisms available during their learning journey in Australia.

Navigating a new country, culture, and lifestyle can be challenging. Understanding mental health issues and
equipping students with vital tools to develop a better awareness to not only understand their own mental wellbeing, but also understand the various tools, mechanisms and support infrastructure available to them
when they most need it.

Topics covered in WORKSHOP 1 will include:

• An introduction to mental health awareness and wellbeing, and support available.

• Overcoming challenges including Homesickness, Loneliness, Managing Stress and Anxiety

• Building resilience and adapting to a new environment and culture

The workshops will be led by excellent and supportive facilitators, with tea, coffee, and refreshments provided at each workshop.
