Why now?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the landscape of health research, shaping not only how we conduct research but also harbouring a change about what knowledge itself means. As AI becomes more embedded in research processes and the technology advances, more questions are arising: What are the ethical and moral concerns around use of AI in health research in the longer term? Who should govern the use of AI in health research? How will AI shape the future of knowledge production, validation, and sharing?

In this event we will together examine our understanding of these aspects, explore whether existing ethical frameworks suffice, and discuss potential safeguards to protect the future of health research.
