The Mothermind Sessions
Event description
Join us for The Mothermind Sessions—informal, welcoming evenings where mothers come together to connect, reflect, and explore the deeper parts of motherhood that often stay hidden.
Each session is designed to help you discover new insights, find language for the complex emotions and experiences that often stay hidden, and helping you realise you’re not alone in the complexities of being a mother.
Each session focuses on a different theme:
August: Mum Guilt & the Myth of the Perfect Mother
“No matter what I do, it never feels like enough.”
Explore the roots of mum guilt—shame, comparison, and the crushing weight of “shoulds.” Walk away with practical tools for self-compassion, new ways to challenge guilt, and shared relief that you’re not alone.
October: The Truth About the 'Mum Brain': Biology, Bias & the Stories We've Been Told
“Am I broken, or is this just motherhood?”
Is ‘mum brain’ real—or a story we’ve been sold? We’ll dig into fascinating science, bust myths about maternal and paternal brain changes, and explore how culture shapes the way we see ourselves. Expect insights, validation, and a fresh understanding of your mind.
Who Am I Now? Identity, Loss & Becoming in Motherhood
“I don’t know who I am outside of being a mum anymore.”
Motherhood can leave us feeling like we’ve lost who we were—and at the same time push us to define who we want to become. This session dives into that tension, creating space to name the grief of identity shifts while exploring "matrescence" and how it can shape your own version of motherhood.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, curious, or just wanting space to breathe and connect, you’re warmly invited. Come for one session—or join us for the whole series and gift yourself the time and community you deserve.
