Event description

For the Poetic Expressionist
Poetry, derived from poiesis (/pɔɪˈiːsɪs/; from Ancient Greek: ποίησις) is the process of emergence of something that did not previously exist.

This is a space where all of you is welcome.
Your voice, your poetry, your music, your ramblings, displays of devotion to the arts… and everything in-between.
The folk have been calling to bare their souls. Upon hearing your yearning wails (even if you didn’t think you let them have voice, they've been heard in the ether…) calling, cawing, sprinkling soft murmurs in desire to be shared... The Name of Poetry has been birthed!

A monthly night to delight in the auditory senses, to partake in the raw, often gut wrenching experience that is…. The spoken word.
You are welcome, nay, more than that, encouraged, to play with your community on a deliciously magical evening each month.
Perhaps a poetic musing of your choice to share, or put on a play for us, or just recite a list of words you like if it’s your first time.
Perhaps you are the observant sort and wish to be entertained or inspired as opposed to doing the entertaining.
This is very welcome also.
Be greeted at the door for a personalised smudging (handmade, homegrown smudge by mwah)
Show your ticket or $ and pop your name in the expression offering bowl if you so care to share on the evening.

Wander in to enjoy Chai ready for you, and settle in to enjoy the space.
