In the 1940s, during the dead of night, a nine-year-old Aboriginal orphan arrives at a remote monastery run by a renegade nun (Cate Blanchett). 
 
Masterfully shot and full of evocative moments, The New Boy is a poetic portrait of faith, humanity and spirituality. A compelling drama directed by one of Australia’s most original filmmakers, Warwick Thornton, and starring Cate Blanchett in a standout role.  

The movie will be presented in a newly edited version and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Warwick Thornton discussing the making of the movie.
