Event description

Join dynamic saxophonist and frontman Oscar Lavën and The New Zealand Swing Quartet as they blast out the joyous party music of the New Orleans French Quarter, made famous by Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton. You'll be dancing before you know it.

The lineup includes these seriously clever cats: Oscar Lavën (clarinet/sax/tomfoolery), Mat Enright (trumpet and vocals), Ayrton Foote (piano), Adrian Jensen (guitar), Dan Yeabsley (bass), and Jacob Randall (drums).

Capital Blues Inc. is keeping the blues alive in Wellington with fortnighly Thursday night gigs at Underworld Tavern. These are supported by the bar with discounts for Capital Blues Club members. The events have a cover fee, usually at $20, $10 for members - and still blues and roots music for everyone to enjoy.

Now we've added an exciting new concert series - and with your support this will be a fantastic addition to the Wellington live music calendar. Currently the last Sunday of the month at 1pm, prices are usually $20, and $10 for club members.
